Hilary Goodner

Birth Assistant, Doula, Midwifery Student

Hilary has known since childhood that she was destined for a profession in healthcare.  Before becoming a birth doula, she spent 15 years working in various medical roles, including CNA, laboratory work and EMS.  After the medicalized birth of her first child, Hilary sensed that there was a more sacred way to approach the birthing experience, and she intended to discover it.  In 2014, as she was preparing for the upcoming birth of her second child, Hilary attended a DONA birth doula workshop to fully equip herself with tools and information to help her achieve her ideal birth experience.  After an empowering natural birth, she was inspired to help other women achieve the birth they desire, and her career as a birth doula was born.  Hilary is passionate about education for birthing mothers and partners, as her own experience and clients' experiences have proven that knowledge is power.  Hilary, too, is committed to education, staying up-to-date on the latest research and techniques that will equip her to better serve her clients.  Her education and skills include TENS Unit Certification, Advanced Rebozo Techniques, Pressure Point Techniques, Peanut Ball, Benkung Belly Binding, Hypnobabies Childbirth Hypnosis Doula, pregnancy loss, and Closing of the Bones/Mother Blessing Ceremonies.  Hilary is dedicated to the families she serves and looks forward to supporting you through pregnancy, birth, and beyond!

Naloni Bean

Naloni began attending the births of her siblings, cousins and family friends in 1998, long before becoming a mother herself. Now she and her husband have four children (plus twins in heaven) and each of their births were vastly different. In 2005, she trained through DONA to become a birth doula and since then has known without a shadow of doubt that she is called to feminine care!

In the birthing room, her aim is to capture the birthing mother’s vision, hold the sacred space and nurture the atmosphere from every angle. She is trained in rebozo techniques, certified in the use of TENS Unit for labor and birth, supports families through loss, and does reflexology and acupressure for pregnancy, birth, postpartum and menstrual-healing. Naloni brings her 20-year love of acu-points (through acupressure and reflexology) to every birth and believes in a hands on approach of support. She uses very specific points to help the mother’s body progress in labor effectively, opening up the energy pathways and helping the energy to flow in a way that equips and enhances the process from start to finish, as well as the recovery afterwards. Outside of the birthing room, she works with women coupling together these acu-points, mind-body work, nourishing nutrition and the Holy Spirit to bring about lasting healing in women from the womb forth that is physical, emotional and spiritual. Naloni is passionate about working with women in all seasons of childbearing & femininity to help facilitate whole-being nourishment and healing. This is the work that makes her heart truly overjoyed, as it is not just a job, but something she has no doubt she was called to do!
